COPD Conference 2004
The Canadian COPD Alliance held a very successful fourth national COPD Conference entitled "Raising the Standard of Care in COPD" in Montreal, Quebec, from November 26 to 28 with a record capacity attendance of 397. With a focus on team caring for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients, respirologists, family physicians and allied health professionals heard from a multidisciplinary group of speakers who provided a stimulating scientific program. The program committee was chaired by Dr Jean Bourbeau. The conference also highlighted the experience of the COPD patient, and Henri Tremblay proved to be an excellent Master of Ceremonies. The patient program, organized by L'association pulmonaire du Québec, was also very popular.
