Academic Journals In Biopharmaceutics

Biopharmaceutics explores the interrelationship between the physical / chemical properties of the drug, the dosage type (drug product) in which it is delivered, and the route of administration regarding the rate and degree of systemic drug absorption. The effectiveness and protection of the drug depends on the dosing protocol. The optimal dose and dose cycles can be very different for different medications. Moreover, the optimal dosage between patients can vary widely for a single drug. It is not enough to know what the drug is doing to the body; it is also crucial to know what the body is doing to the drug. Being aware of the pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic properties of the medication and its metabolites in humans and animals is important for understanding its various effects through species and for modifying drug dosage. The plasma concentration of the drug is the basic principle of Pharmacokinetics. The concentration of free drug available in the circulation, based on the drug's protein binding, greatly influences the dose calculations. The plasma concentration of the drug is in equilibrium with certain body tissues.
