Amyloidosis is a rare and complex group of diseases characterized by the deposition of abnormal protein aggregates, known as amyloid fibrils, in various tissues and organs throughout the body. Among its many manifestations, cardiac involvement in amyloidosis, known as Amyloidosis- Associated Heart Disease (AAHD), is a significant concern due to its impact on patient outcomes. This article explores the role of echocardiography in diagnosing and evaluating AAHD and introduces an echocardiogram-based diagnostic scoring system to aid clinicians in its early detection.
