CAR T Cell Manufacturing and the Dawn of Personalized Medicine: Pioneering the Future of Cancer Treatment

Author(s): David Hawk*

CAR T cell manufacturing refers to the complex process of creating Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T cells in a laboratory setting for use in cancer treatment. CAR T cells are a type of immune cells that are genetically modified to express chimeric antigen receptors on their surface. These receptors are engineered to recognize specific proteins, known as antigens, found on the surface of cancer cells. Once the CAR T cells are infused back into a patient's body, they seek out and destroy cancer cells with precision.
