Highly Efficient Low-Cost Novel Magnetic Nano Powder for Cancer Therapy

Magnetic metal oxide nano particles are greatly used in the field of medical science. These particles are used to target the tissues under external magnetic field. These nano structures have such magnetic properties that can control the orientation and location of particles by changing the direction of applied external magnetic field. These novel magnetic materials can be used to treat the cancer and nano vectors for controlled drug delivery. By controlling the composition, size and shape of NPs via synthesis would allow tailoring and tuning the desired properties and these new particles give a potential for new cancer therapies such as magnetic fluid hyperthermia. Magnetic nano particles especially iron oxide nano particles have been approved by US food and drug administration. these particles have great importance because of their applications in bio-medicines. The effects of Co,Zn and Ni ferrites nano particles were investigated for curing cancerous cells. These nano particles were synthesized via Sol-Gel auto combustion technique. The Synthesized particles were investigated by XRD, VSM, SEM, LCR meter, Ramman Spectroscopy and FTIR.
