The coronavirus epidemic, which is caused as a result of the acute severe respiratory syndrome, is declared a world health emergency of global concern and has had a severe impact on the fisheries and aquaculture industry. It severe cases cause severe acute respiratory stress, and the people most vulnerable to this disease are people with cardiovascular issues and health problems. It is mostly associated with mortality in severe cases as a result of myocardial injury. Therefore knowing its impact on fisheries and aquaculture is essential for the industry to prevent collapsing and affecting the fisherfolks and stakeholders and the vulnerable groups in the sector. It was revealed in the present review that inputs, including fuels, gears have experienced shortage as a result of the lockdown restrictions, and these restrictions have impacted the fishing industries severely.
