Contact Lens Journals Impact Factor

The contact lenses are the thin lenses which are directly positioned on the surface of the eye. They are medical devices used in eye view correction. Contact lenses are better at correcting vision compared to traditional spectacles and they are preferred to displays. The contact lenses are made of polymer made from plastic. The raw material differs depending on type of lens. Like hard contact lenses, some variant of polymethyl methacrylate ( PMMA) and soft contact lenses are made of a polymer such as polyhydroxyethyl methacrylate (pHEMA) which has hydrophilic qualities, which means it can soak up water but still retain its shape and other optical functions. Journal impact factor provides a quantitative evaluation tool for the grading, evaluation, sorting, and comparison of similar journals. It reflects the average number of citations to recent articles published in journals of science and social science in a given year or period, And is often used as a proxy for the journal's relative importance within its field. It is first devised by the Institute for Scientific Information founder, Eugene Garfield. A journal's impact factor is calculated by splitting the number of current year citations into the source items that were published in that journal in the previous two years.
