High Blood Pressure Open Access Articles

Blood pressure (BP) is that the pressure of circulating blood on the walls of blood vessels. Most of this pressure is thanks to work done by the guts by pumping blood through the cardiovascular system. Used without further specification, "blood pressure" usually refers to the pressure in large arteries of the circulation. vital sign is typically expressed in terms of the blood pressure (maximum during one heartbeat) over blood pressure (minimum in between two heartbeats) and is measured in millimeters of mercury (mmHg), above the encompassing air pressure . Blood pressure is one among the vital signs, along side rate of respiration , pulse , oxygen saturation, and blood heat . Normal resting vital sign , in an adult is approximately 120 millimetres of mercury (16 kPa) systolic, and 80 millimetres of mercury (11 kPa) diastolic, abbreviated "120/80 mmHg". Globally, the typical vital sign , age standardized, has remained about an equivalent since 1975 to this , at approx. 127/79 mmHg in men and 122/77 mmHg in women, although these average data mask quite large divergent regional trends. Vital sign was measured non-invasively using auscultation with either an aneroid gauge, or a mercury-tube sphygmomanometer.  Auscultation remains generally considered to be the gold standard of accuracy for non-invasive vital sign readings in clinic.
