Editorial Note

Journal of Neurology and Clinical Neuroscience (puljncn) is an academic Open Access journal that means to distribute generally complete and solid wellspring of data on immense subjects of sustenance that incorporate different parts of neuro-pathology, neuro-radiology, neuro-ophthalmology and neuro-physiology in the method of unique exploration and audit articles, just as case reports, short correspondences, discourses, scaled down surveys.

The peer-review procedure is designed to make sure the consistency of the submitted manuscripts in line with the set hints for a preferred open get entry to case file or lookup paper. The Neurology and Clinical Neuroscience has been obtained by way of OMICS International for dissemination of understanding in the subject of Neurology and remedy with provision of free sharing and transmission of articles underneath the norms of the statement.

In a commentary article entitled “Alzheimer’s disease and periodontitis” written by Marcos Roberto Tovani Palone precisely discussed about Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) addresses the symptoms of AD first appear in their mid-60s. Etiology is different among adults and children. Tannerella forsythia and Treponema denticola, have been implicated in the development of AD. Periodontitis could be a risk factor for AD, since that it can provide harmful bacteria to the brain. This article offers a framework on the etiology, and treatment of AD, with a specific focus on practical issues.

The other article in this journal entitled “Essentials in brain connectivity” by author Radu Mutihac which is a review article indeed explained about brain connectivity. Author well explained that Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (R-fMRI) has increasingly spread in functional brain imaging research. Functional MRI (fMRI) is defined as a common tool for mapping the working brain activation patterns, both in health and in disease. Vascular process provides valuable information on the electrical activity in neurons.

fMRI data analysis is divided into two categories. Univariate/multivariate and Confirmatory/exploratory. Future examination should look to make all around planned imminent investigations that limit model-free exploratory analysis, temporal fuzzy cluster analysis, and statistical resampling (shuffling) of experimental data. He also explained the term connectome firstly used by Sporns and co-workers in 2005 which refers to the mapping of connectivity all over the brain by means of imaging modalities like R-fMRI and dMRI.

In a mini review article entitled “COVID-19 and stroke: A mini review” written by Arieh S Solomon discussed about the prevalence and distribution of cerebral microbleeds and leukoencephalopathy. He explained the chart review of 4,131 COVID19-positive adults. This article demonstrates that the presence of cerebral microbleeds and/or leukoencephalopathy is associated with critical illness. Author concluded that the few studies presented here reveals both the broad and profound variance among the reports regarding the pathologies emerging in COVID-19.

In the end, I would like to thank and express my gratitude to all the editors, reviewers, authors and readers for keeping their faith on us and associating with us over the years to make this journal a successful open access journal till now and I am hoping for their continuous support in the coming years as well.
