Abstract

This abstract presents a rare case of the occurrence of fleshy muscle fibers in the anterior wall of the rectus sheath, a highly unusual anatomical anomaly. The rectus sheath is a multi-layered structure in the anterior abdominal wall, typically comprising three layers. However, in this case, an additional layer of functional muscle fibers was discovered during a routine abdominal surgery.
