Diffusion lung capacity measurement in silicosis patients

The transfer of gas from the air in the lung to the red blood cells in lung blood vessels is measured by the diffusing capacity of the lung which is also known as the transfer factor. Keywords: Fibrotic lung disease In this study, patients with simple and complex silicosis had their lung's ability to Diffuse Carbon Monoxide (DLCO) assessed. If any abnormal findings were found, they were correlated with the patient’s computed tomography anomalies.
