Diplopia: A unique presenting symptom of neurobrucellosis – A case report

Brucellosis is the most frequent worldwide zoonotic disease. The disease is acquired through the ingestion of unpasteurized dairy products it may affect any organ or system in the body. Neurobrucellosis is a rare form of systemic brucellosis that may manifest as encephalitis, meningoencephalitis, radiculitis, myelitis, stroke, and intracranial hemorrhage. We report a case diagnosed as neurobrucellosis who presented with unilateral diplopia along with right-sided body numbness. The diagnosis was confirmed by Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) culture and blood serology.
