Redefining the mind in the age of AI

Artificial Intelligence (A1) is defined as a branch of Computer Science that is capable of simulating intelligent behavior through machine automation systems. There has been a significant rise in research and application of A1 in various aspects of Psychiatry. This mutual overlap between mental health and technology has led to a paradigm shift in key areas of Healthcare. The prospective future of man & machine has stirred a lack of emphasis on the advantages as well as limitations of A1 in today's world. With growing concerns over the fear of A1 replacing jobs and humanity as a whole, it has come to a point of mistrust in building a fairly new concept to innovation. The purpose of this presentation is to provide a realistic understanding of Artificial Intelligence and it's impact on the future of Psychiatry. The key highlights of this session will focus on providing a comprehensive overview of research studies that augment the application of A1 in this field. The need for a holistic understanding of different subsets of Artificial Intelligence, including Machine Learning, holds a crucial role in educating the wider audience of non-technical experts.
