Cancer Diagnosis Journals

Cancer refers to any one of the large number of disease that are characterized by occurrence of abnormal cells that divide uncontrollably and can infiltrate and destroy the other body tissues. Cancer can spread all through the body. It is the second leading death causing disease. But due the implementation of new methods of treatment the survival rates are increasing. Cancer cells causes tumor which replaces the normal tissue and circulates through blood to other tissues which is called metastasis.

Cancer can be diagnosed by Physical exam: Presence of lump or tumour, change in skin color or enlargement of an organ, Laboratory tests: Urine and blood tests like complete blood picture, Imaging tests: Computerized Tomography (CT) scan, Bone scan, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scan, ultrasound and X-ray, and Biopsy: An examination of tissue removed from a living body to discover the presence, cause, or extent of a disease.
