Chronic Diseases Open Access Journals: No Article/proceedings

Chronic illness is a condition that continues for a long time to come. Chronic disease can hinder the independence and health of individuals with disabilities, as it may impose additional restrictions on movement. People with chronic illness sometimes assume that because they have no symptoms, they are free from the disease. Nevertheless, having no symptoms does not automatically mean the chronic disease has gone away. The good news is that chronic illness can be avoided or regulated by 1) daily involvement in physical activity; 2) healthy eating; 3) not smoking; and 4) avoiding excessive consumption of alcohol. Examples of common chronic diseases and their early signs are listed below. Arthritis is the "wear and tear" on joints like knees , elbows, ankles, etc. The early signs include: Joint pain after sitting or standing up for a short period, Joint stiffness, Tenderness at joints, and redness, Swelling at junctions.Cancer is the uncontrollable rise of anomalous cells in the body. Stroke is a blockage of blood supply into the brain. Heart attack is blocking blood flow to the heart. Obesity is a chronic state of health that exceeds average body mass. It is a risk factor for other chronic illnesses such as arthritis, stroke , heart attack, asthma, type 2 diabetes and other social and emotional problems. The journal reports on the prevalence of all chronic conditions, risk factors, prevention, epidemiology, diagnosis and treatment.
