Dementia

Dementia may be a broad category of brain diseases that cause an extended term. Dementia isn't one disease in itself, but a general term to explain symptoms of impairment in memory, communication, and thinking. Dementia increases with age; it's not a traditional a part of aging. Dementias are often caused by nerve cell death, and neurodegenerative disease - progressive nerve cell death that happens over time - is related to most dementias. Dementia are often caused by a head injury, a stroke, or a brain tumor, among other causes. the foremost common sort of dementia is Alzheimer's disease , which makes up 50% to 70% of cases. Other common types include vascular dementia (25%), Lewy body dementia (15%), and frontotemporal dementia, Post-traumatic dementia, paralysis agitans , alpha-synucleinm, Huntington's chorea, normal pressure hydrocephalus, Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease, mongolism.
