Central obesity is also known as Abdominal obesity and truncal obesity. This condition occurs when unnecessary abdominal fat around the stomach and abdomen has built up to the extent. Central obesity has been powerfully connected to cardiovascular disease, metabolic diseases, vascular diseases and Alzheimer's disease. Primitive and vital stomach fat and waist fringe shows strong connotation with type 2 diabetes. Visceral fat is located inside the peritoneal cavity and is packed in between internal organs and torso which is found underneath the skin. A surplus of adipose visceral fat is known as central obesity, the pot or a belly. This type of deposition of fat on the hips and buttocks is known as apple shaped or pear-shaped body.
